Hi @DHS2025

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If your HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 isn’t turning on even when plugged in, here are some steps to troubleshoot:

Check the Power Adapter & Cable

  • Ensure the adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and a working power outlet.
  • Try using a different outlet or power adapter if available.

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Disconnect the power adapter.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge residual power.
  • Reconnect the adapter and try turning the laptop on.

Check for Battery Issues

  • If your laptop has a removable battery, take it out and try powering on with just the adapter.
  • If the battery is non-removable, leave the laptop plugged in for 30 minutes before attempting to turn it on.

Inspect for LED Indicators

  • Look for any blinking lights near the power button or charging port.
  • If the charging LED blinks, it may indicate a battery failure.

Try a BIOS Reset

  • Some HP laptops have a BIOS reset option.
  • Press and hold Win + B, then press the power button for a few seconds.
  • If the BIOS recovery screen appears, follow the instructions.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

  • If the laptop powers on but doesn’t boot, press Esc repeatedly during startup.
  • Select F2 for HP Diagnostics and run a Battery Test.

If none of these steps work, it may indicate a hardware issue, such as a faulty battery or motherboard.
