Product: HP elite 8440p
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop won't start from a flashdrive.

I have to disable the secure boot but that requires a legacy something or other.

This I don't have.

 

What do I do now ?

Go into bios tap (F10) at boot up once in bios select system configuration, boot options,  select Legacy then enable, your flashdrive is using MBR format which uefi dont surport, it only surports GPT, do as i say and you should be fine to boot from your flashdrive

I don't have 'legacy'  .( it's in my question )

 

If I had there wouldn't be a problem.

 

I have it on my other HP Pavilion 11 , but not on my HP Elite 8440p

 

So my question is: how do I fix this problem without legacy ?

Convert your flashdrive to the GPT partition table then
