Here is the Manual:
I did a word search and "backlit" or "backlight" is nowhere to be found which means HP did not make the laptop with the ability to have a backlit keyboard even as an option. There has to be a power connection on the motherboard to run a backlit keyboard and then HP has to manufacture a backlit keyboard for it and neither of those is true for your model. Sorry.
