Was looking into upgrading my wifi card from what it has now to something better. just not sure if this pc has a whitelist in the bios or not. and if i'm able to what would you guys recommend as an upgrade

Yes, the model series has a BIOS whitelist of sorts, and if your notebook has a RTL8821CE, there is only one antenna wire inside the notebook and any better card would require two antenna wires.
So, I need to know two things:
The product number of your specific model notebook because the 2J4V9AV is the general product number for the entire model series which consists of over several hundred new and refurbished models.
Run the Windows system information app and post the product number of the PC.
The product number will be found on the System SKU line about 1/4 of the way down on the report.
The second thing I need to know is what model Wi-Fi adapter your notebook has.
