Hello everyone, I was thinking to upgrade the storage on my laptop and it has a m.2 SATA drive in it. I need some help if it can both support m.2 SATA and m.2 NVMe interfaces. I also want to know if my laptop also supports NGFF. I might be wrong technicalities.

Hi:
The label on the drive indicates that it is NVMe.
Some of the older NVMe SSD's have two notches like the M.2 SATA SSD's have.

The notebook should support a standard NVMe PCIe 3 x 4 SSD such as the Samsung 980.

Hi:
The product specs for your notebook indicate that it came with a 256 GB NVMe SSD.

If you want to install a larger capacity NVMe SSD, that would be fine.

NGFF Compatibility:
NGFF stands for Next Generation Form Factor, and it is the form factor used for M.2 drives. M.2 SATA and M.2 NVMe drives both adhere to the NGFF standard, so in terms of physical compatibility, they share the same form factor. However, remember that the keying (notch position) on the M.2 connector may vary between SATA and NVMe drives, so it's crucial to match the keying of your M.2 drive with the corresponding M.2 slot on your motherboard.
