hi, i just recently bought this laptop model HP 15 ay526TU, http://h20386.www2.hp.com/MalaysiaStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=ECC_BUNDLE_6223639&opt=&sel=NTB

 

the question is how many memory slot this laptop have, i called to hp support they tell me only 1 slot but when i use speccy to scan my laptop it show this laptop have 2 slot, is that ok if i bought another 4 gb ram for this laptop?

 

the second question is, can i add a mini ssd like m.2 sata or pcie sata for this laptop? 

the motherboard model should be HP 81EB (U3E1), and show pcie x 4 is available

Upgrading your computer's RAM or hard drive will not affect your HP warranty unless you break something during the upgrade process or the upgraded components damage your system.

 

Hence recommended to take to any HP authorised service centers and get it upgraded.

 

 

YES, RAM and SSD can be upgraded on you PC as per the guide. Please refer to it for more information.

meaning to say , i can upgrade my ram, but need to send it to service center because it is non accesseble by customer (me)? 

 

meaning my laptop is having m2 slot and is upgradable for the m.2 ssd ? sorry im the laptop beginner.
