OK . not sure what to do here. 

 

Have bought a 1tb western digital nvme drive. Trying to connect it thru usb thru an SSK encasement in order to clone the hd of the computer. But it won't show up!

I just get fatal hardware error whenever I try to initialise the drive. The drive is brand new! Seems weird that it would be damaged to the point of unreadable . Not sure what to do any advice very welcome!

Many external M.2 adapters using usb are for SATA M.2 only. I have both types of adapters. What is the specific adapter model?
