Hi,

I need to upgrade my m2 ssd from the current 128gb sata and would prefer to change to nvme card if the port supports it. I can't find any specific information regarding my model other than that some chipsets accepts both standards. Can you help please?

Regards,

Ake

You're very welcome.

It shows notebooks with the same processor and graphics as yours.

That is the manual that HP has linked to the support page, so I would hope the information is relevant to your notebook too.

I could not find any manuals for the ab-200 model series specifically.

Even when I go back to the 17-ab000 model series, it shows the same manual.

Unfortunately, the Crucial memory report doesn't even list any compatible M.2 SSD's for your notebook...SATA or NVMe.

Just 2.5".

Hi:

You should be able to install a NVMe SSD in your notebook.

See chapter 1, page 4 of the service manual for the supported drive types.

It shows that NVMe drives are supported.

Thanks, I noticed that manual but as it listed between ab301 -> ab499 and as mine is ab207 I didn't want to take the chance without confirmation.
