Hello everyone.
I have HP Pavilion dv6 7000 se Product Number : B1K53EA#ABV.
Motherboard has one mSATA port.
Can I install mSATA SSD 1TB and install OS and Boot from it?
I also will use the SATA HDD for Data only.
Kindly recommend a Brand and model for the mSATA SSD.
Thanks in Advance.

I don't think the laptop can boot from mSATA-could be wrong. I also don't think an mSATA is as fast as an SSD. You would be safer and probably cheaper to replace the hdd with a 2.5" SSD like the Samsung 360 Evo.

@CherylG is correct. The mSATA port is designed to be used with a 16 or 32 gig mSATA "accelerator" disk. It works with Intel Rapid Storage to make a kind of link between the mSATA and the mechanical hard drive to speed up boot time and opening of apps. It is not as fast as a SSD boot disk and if a regular 2.5 inch disk is in the hard drive bay the mSATA will not be bootable. It is bootable if it is the only disk in the system but as Cheryl says the mSATA interface is not as fast as a SATA 2.5 inch SSD and a 1 TB mSATA mSSD is going to be crazy expensive; much more than a 2.5 inch SATA SSD so no point.
