HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000 (2D118AV)

Hello, I am new to HP laptops and I recently purchased a refurbished laptop ,  the HP Laptop 15s-fq2050na (893F8EA) with Windows 11 Home and using the serial number on the HP support site I can see the  information copied below ( in Blue Italics) for the Hardware maintenance warranty and  also showing  are details for a three month  HP Initial Set Up Assistance warranty  starting from the same  (25 Jan 2024) date.  Therefore can I assume that the device was first purchased by the previous owner  in January 2024 and if so when was it likely to have been manufactured? Thanks

Hi:

You can determine down to the week of the manufacture date of your notebook by looking at the serial number.

The 4th, 5th and 6th characters will always be numbers.

The 4th = the year of manufacture (0 - 9)

The 5th and 6th = the week of manufacture (01 - 52).

For example, if the 4th, 5th and 6th characters of the serial number are 345, that means the notebook was manufactured in 2023 during the 45th week of the year (November 6 - November 12).

Thank you Paul , the digits in the serial number would indicate roughly a manufacturing date half way through 2023, which is reasonable if the device was purchased in 2024

You're very welcome.
