While trying to run the WMIC cmd, found out that WMIC is deprecated in windows 11. Trying to add it as FoD, that's giving multiple errors even after following official Windows blog.

Any other recommendations to check it? I tried Crucial System Scanner and it's stating, I could use 16gb in both slots (16x2) maxing at 32gb of ram.

Chapter 1 of the service manual for the original 15s-eq0xxx model series indicates the max memory is 2 x 8 GB.

There is no newer manual.

I recommend that you run this command to see how much memory Windows indicates your notebook can support:

1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.

This will open the command prompt.

2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and press the enter key.

There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.

The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

I would agree with what Crucial is telling you.  2 x 16 GB.

BTW, I'm running W11 and have no issues running that command and getting the memory totals for my PC's.

just read the service guide, it's actually a wrong one. it's applicable for product series 15s-eq0xxx  and processor ryzen 5 - 3500U, while my product series is 15s-eq2xxx and processor is ryzen 5 -5300U

this guide was published in 2019, while my product series was launched in 2022

...and as I posted, I had already told you that the manual was for the older model series and there isn't one for yours.

32 GB  should be the right amount of memory...2 x 16 GB DDR4-3200 CL22.

Do not install memory with faster timings or it will almost certainly not work.

I wouldn't be able to help you with why the WMIC command isn't working on your notebook.

It doesn't matter, you got the answer from Crucial.
