Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have HP 250 G7 notebook with Intel I5 1035G1 with 8GB RAM

I used a terminal command to see the maximum capacity for my PC and found that it up to 32GB

but an expert here told me that my PC capacity is 16GB only
I want to know the exact capacity so as to buy it at this time ?
and could you recommend me links for your choice to buy from Crucial ?
in addition, is there any way to overcome CPU heavy performance, as it become 100% on opening IDE tools like VSCODE ?

thanks in advance

Hi:

The Crucial memory report also indicates the max memory is 2 x 8 GB.

HP - Compaq HP 250 G7 (Intel Core i7/ i5/ i3) | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com

However, I believe that since the windows report you ran indicates that 2 x 16 GB of memory is supported you should be able to install that much.

Run this command which also checks the PC's SMBIOS and if you get the same number, you should be able to.

wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx

This should be a compatible 16 GB memory chip for your notebook:

Crucial 16GB DDR4-3200 SODIMM | CT16G4SFRA32A | Crucial.com

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to answer your last question.

If your notebook has a 2.5" mechanical hard drive, you may want to replace that drive with a better performing M.2 NVMe SSD.  That should help performance considerably.

thanks for your detailed answer about my inquiry , it helped me to indicate RAM capacity that I'll buy
but, could I install a (16GB )RAM from CRUCIAL besides the main laptop RAM(8GB) , or it should be from the same provider ?

You're very welcome.

The Crucial memory is normally compatible with whatever memory chip HP installed, if you just want to buy one 16 GB chip for now.
