This notebook cane with a 1 tb drive. I would like to upgrade to a 2 tb drive. What is the maximum hard drive size this machine can handle?

2TB is right. In theory the number is very large but physically you can get 2TB because over 2TB HDD's are thicker, they won't physically fit inside machine which only allows 9.5mm (max) thickness.
