what is the correct memory type for a hp pavilion dm4-1173cl? HP parts store say it takes PC3L-12800 DDR3L and I don't think this correct since the notebook currently has PC3-10600S memory installed.

It is very hard to find the right memory for HP notebooks with the Intel 1st generation core processors.

 

This memory should work fine if you want to upgrade to 2 x 4 GB.

It is too old to get its specs from HP. Only

Crucial says the following RAM worked
