Hello, interested in buying this today at amazon, BUT, one thing is preventing me. Can you pls confirm that upgrading the memory stick is user replaceable? I am mechanically inclined, BUT, Hp team answers from Best buy kept implying that a pro tech should be doing this. Thx for any inputs shared.

Hi:
Gone are the days of easy memory, Wi-Fi adapter and hard drive upgrades, where all you needed to do was to remove a screw to an access panel and all the parts were easily removed and replaced.
Now you will have to use plastic pry tools and whatnot to release the entire bottom cover to upgrade the memory, along with the required size screw drivers. Some screws will be hidden under the rubber foot strips as well.
Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure.
