Looking to upgrade the ram on my HP Pavillion X360 15 crOxxx with 2 chips.
https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct16g4sfra32a/ct18653891
Going to be using it for light gaming and general web browsing.
I just want it as fast as possible and don't care to buy 2.
Spoke to a friend more into computers who mentioned being unbuffered might cause latency. As well as if I only have 1 channel it might not be worth having 32 and should just go with 16.
Any advice is appreciated.

It would help us if you provide the full model number. 15-crOxxx doesn't come up on the product support page. Look at the label and add the numbers or letters replacing the xxx. We'll have to look at the specified speed of your ram also.
Also what is your current configuration of ram? 2 modules of 4Gb each? Your friend is correct, replacing one of the modules with a larger module will cause a mismatch where some of the memory runs dual channel, and some runs single channel.
16GB total is OK for your needs.
