does any one know what sort of memory chip goes into a hp g7000 laptop also how many pins does it have many thanks

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

Chapter 1 has the memory info;

 

Your notebook can support DDR2-5300 memory or DDR2-6400 memory.

 

The DDR2-6400 memory will run at 667 MHz.

 

This is a typical DDR2 memory chip.  This one should work in your notebook if it has one of the Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processors listed in the manual.

 

Otherwise, the notebook only supports 2 x 1 GB of memory.
