Hi @ANIS_HR,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊

I understand that your HP ENVY x360 15.6-inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ew0000 (549V5AV) previously had a corrupted BIOS that was repaired/flashed. Since then, every time you turn on the notebook, you see the message: “Manufacturing Programming Module is in Unlock Mode.”

To help us check the correct next step, could you please let us know how the BIOS issue was repaired?

  • Was the notebook taken to an HP service center or another repair/service location to have the BIOS repaired?
  • Or did you perform the BIOS recovery yourself using an HP BIOS recovery USB/flash drive?
  • Was the system board replaced or repaired at any point?
  • Does the notebook still start normally into Windows after you dismiss the message?

If possible, please also share a clear picture of the complete message exactly as it appears during startup. Please make sure the serial number or other personal information is not visible in the picture.

For now, I would not recommend changing BIOS security settings or using any undocumented BIOS commands/tools to remove the message.

The BIOS contains system-specific information such as the product number, serial number, system board information, Build ID and Feature Byte. Since this message started after the BIOS repair, the details of how the BIOS was repaired are important before we guide you further.

Please share a picture of the startup message and let us know whether the BIOS was repaired by a service technician or through an HP BIOS recovery USB.

Thanks for being part of the HP Community!
