Hi:

Yes, you would have to change the heatsink.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the illustrated parts list in chapter 3.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

System board

Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce MX350 graphics    M31112-601

HP doesn't have a motherboard with your notebook's processor and the MX130.

The above part is on backorder from HP -- £792.42

The part number for the Intel Core i5-1035G1 processor and NVIDIA GeForce MX130 graphics is also on backorder -- £657.20

Heat sink:

For use in models with discrete graphics memory    L52032-001

The above part is on backorder from HP -- £52.55

Here is the list of authorized suppliers you can contact to see if they have the parts available.

The HP Parts Store | HP Computer Parts | HP Printer Parts | HP parts | hp batteries | SSD | printhea...

You can check eBay.uk as well.

IMHO, the cost of doing an upgrade like that may outweigh the benefits unless you can get the parts you need for much less than HP charges.

You may even find buying a 250 G8 with the Nvidia graphics may cost less than upgrading yours.
