Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community.

I reviewed the case regarding issues with the computer crashes randomly. I will be delighted to assist you here.

Superb description, and terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 😉

Let me ask a few questions for better understanding.

What is the product number of the computer?

Did you make any hardware/software changes?

Meanwhile, try the steps given below:

Control zone touchpad –

You could try changing the way the control zone touchpad works, using the below steps:

  1. On the Start screen, type control panel, then click Control Panel from the list of results.

  2. Click the View by drop-down menu, and select large icons.

  3. Click HP Control Zone.

  4. Remove the check mark next to Enable Edge Swipes, then click OK.

  5. The left and right control zones now accept right-click and left-click actions.

  6. For more details, click here

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. 😉

hi!

thank you for the quick answer.

It's very strange but I cant find the settings you talked about in your answer.

i watched a lot of video's online to get informed about how it works and I found out that I could just touch an onn and off button for my touchpad, the strange here is that I just don't have that setting. same as the setting you're talking about. when i look for extra settings about my mouse I should have a hardware to control my touchpad but i don't have it either. I tried to download this "program" from your site but it didn't help too.

I use a HP envy x360, my serienumber is 8CG80471C2 and the productnumber is 2VY88EA3#UUG.

i hope you can find something 🙂

thank you

Thanks for the response.

Usually that on/off button will be in the right top corner, under the left click button in the touchpad. (Look's like a real tiny dot). All you need to do is, double tap on it, and you'll see an orange light glowing. To enable it, double tap again in that Dot.

Let me know. 🙂
