15-ay013nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

hi, first time posting (and I'm not very Tech Smart). Problem is, on my hp laptop (2 years old), a 15-ay013nr, the left "click" key on the "mouse pad" area has quit working.  I had Geek Squad, Best Buy, look at it, since i have their 1-year  Plan.  Tech person said it needs a new "tracker pad" from HP, and if I can find one , they can install it.    He had updated drivers, checked laptop out, did diagnostics.  I looked at available parts on some HP "parts" site, for this model, but it did not list anything that I could tell was a "tracker pad" or a mouse pad (internal) replacement part.   ... I really just want to buy a replacement part and get it fixed.  Can anyone tell me where to find this part, and what it is called?  thanks so much,

@LesaRedd I have the universal part number for the touchpad also known as trackpad & mousepad, you may use this number to order the part from the HP Parts store or any local online store of your choice, including the tech you have reached out to, here're the details you need:

Touchpad button board (includes bracket and cables) - 855011-001

P.S: Welcome to HP Forums! 😉
