@chandnideb94, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the Battery Charge Issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP laptop battery charges only up to 99%, it might be due to settings related to battery health management or battery calibration issues. Below are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:
Check HP Power Manager Settings:
- If you are using HP Power Manager software, check if "Maximize My Battery Health" is enabled. This setting limits the maximum charge to 80% to optimize battery health and prevent battery swelling.
- To view and change these settings, open HP Power Manager and select Battery Charge Manager tab. Ensure that you are not using settings that limit battery charge capacity.
Battery Health Manager Settings in BIOS:
- Access the BIOS by restarting your laptop and pressing F10 during startup.
- Navigate to Advanced > Power Management Options and select the "Battery Health Manager."
- You have options such as "Let HP manage my battery charging," "Maximize my battery health," and "Maximize my battery duration." Choose the option that suits your charging needs.
Battery Calibration:
- Occasionally, batteries need recalibration. Fully discharge the battery and recharge it to see if the issue resolves.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
