It may be too late but if one of your ports can be made to work you might be able to use a magnetic USB adapter and attach a USB port expander to it. The magnetic adapter can be left in the laptop and avoid having to constantly unplug USB devices.
Please provide the Product ID or Model name for better assistance. Preferably the full product ID including the characters after the # symbol.
