my laptop's case has come off on the right side, the hinges on the right side are also coming off, and the parts under the case that are coming off are also coming off like they are stuck to the casing or something. There are two things that I want to know, first, what is happening to my laptop, and can it be fixed? and secondly, can I ship the laptop back to HP and have them fix it for me like a playstaion? also because of the cracking casing and the broken hinge on the right side, the laptop can't close.

The hinge has seized up and is breaking up the plastics. I am going to try to escalate this to HP who might offer some help. I am going to guess you are out of warranty. If for any reason you do not get help or are not happy with what is offered you can post back and we can explore repair options but I have to say in most cases like this unless you are an electronics tech and can do the work yourself, most people buy a new laptop. But occasionally someone decides to buy replacement parts and fix a laptop up.
