Hi @Ananda10,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing some frustrating issues with your Chromebook. Screen flashing and keyboard problems can be caused by a variety of factors. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve these issues:
Screen Flashing Issues:
- Restart Your Chromebook: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix minor glitches. Turn off your Chromebook and then turn it back on
- Check for Updates: Ensure your Chromebook is running the latest software updates. Go to Settings > About Chrome OS > Check for updates
- Adjust Display Settings: Sometimes changing the display size or resolution can help. Go to Settings > Device > Displays and adjust the display size
- Reset Chrome Flags: If you've enabled experimental features, they might be causing issues. Type chrome://flags in the browser and reset all flags
- Use an External Monitor: Connect your Chromebook to an external monitor to see if the issue persists. If the external monitor works fine, the problem might be with your Chromebook's screen
Keyboard Issues:
- Reboot Your Chromebook: Similar to screen issues, restarting your Chromebook can sometimes resolve keyboard problems.
- Enable On-Screen Keyboard: Go to Settings > Advanced > Accessibility > Manage accessibility features and turn on the on-screen keyboard.
- Check for Hardware Issues: If some keys aren't working, it might be a hardware issue. You can try cleaning the keyboard or checking the keyboard cable connection.
- Update Your Chromebook: Make sure your Chromebook is up-to-date, as software bugs can cause keyboard issues.
- Use Guest Mode: Sometimes, user account issues can cause keyboard problems. Try using your Chromebook in guest mode to see if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
