Hi @gauravsugu,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

It seems like there might be an issue with the power settings on your laptop. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Restart your laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve minor software issues. Try restarting your laptop and see if the problem persists.

Check power settings: Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options. Ensure that the power plan is set to Balanced or High Performance.

Update drivers: Update your laptop's chipset and power management drivers. You can download the latest drivers from the HP support website.

Run the Power troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can help identify and fix power-related issues. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Power and run the troubleshooter.

Check for Windows updates: Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.

Reset power settings to default: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting your power settings to their default values. Open Command Prompt as an administrator and type the following command:

Press Enter and restart your computer.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, there may be a hardware problem with your laptop's power button or power management system. In that case, you may need to contact HP support for further assistance.

Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
