Any fan is going to be loud when running at max speed. If this ran has been quiet for some time (years?) and suddenly is very loud, that implies that the bearings are shot and the fan is going to fail in the near future. And if that is the case, you need to be prepared to have a local laptop repair shop replace the fan for you -- or the laptop will burn out.
