my tablet HP Spectre x2 - 12-a008,only 4 GB memory(2GB *2),I want to know it weather sopport 8GB *2 DDr3L memory.may I upgrade it.I'm afraid that memory is welded on the motherboard。

Hi:

 

You are correct.

 

The memory is onboard, which means that it is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

 

The only way to upgrade the memory would be to replace the system board with one listed in chapter 3 of your notebook's service manual that comes with 8 GB of memory.

 

That would be very expensive and probably not worth it.

 

Below is the link to the service manual which has the memory info.
