HP Compaq nc6220 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows XP

Hello! My notebook nc6220 won't recognize standard USB keyboards. I tried a few cheap standard keyboards and MS Comfort Curve 3000 with all three ports but none of them works either in BIOS Setup or Windows XP. The BIOS version is 68DTU F16. Windows detects new hardware but fails to install a device named Standard USB Keyboard. The USB ports are working: I'm using a wireless mouse with no issues. The only keyboard of those I tried that worked was A4TECH KV-300H, which has 2 USB ports. It works in BIOS Setup and gets installed in Windows as HID Keyboard Device. I would appreciate any kind of guidance as to what kind of keyboards are recognized by this notebook PC or how to make it recognize standard USB keyboards.
