Hello HP Forums!
I would truly apprciate if someone can help me with this issue.
I have a Compaq Presario CQ57-339WM
Hard drive failed and replaced. Windows 7 64 installed.
I found all the drivers here, excpet for the intergrated Graphic chipset.
I am getting the yellow question mark for "SM BUS CONTROLLER"
I tried the Chipset and graphic drivers on HP, but neither will work.
Chipset
Graphics I tried AMD & Intel
I also looked up the processer and Graphic info from this page:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02522280
went to Intel's page to get the drivers and neither worked.
Heres directX info:
Intel Celeron CPU B800 1.5ghz
Intel HD Graphics Family

Hi:
You do need the Intel chipset driver to install the smbus controller. You may have to manually install it.
Give this one a try...auto install.

Manual install if auto install doesn't work...

Download and unzip the file.
Go to the device manager and click on the smbus controller needing drivers.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.

Hi
Open Device Manager
In the Device Manager menu, whichever way you got to it, find the driver that is missing (yellow question mark).
-Right click on that driver and go to “Properties”
-In the properties menu, click on the “Details” tab.
-In the details tab, click the dropdown and select “Device Id’s
When you have that sub menu opened up below, you should see a sentence containing a couple things you need.
-This is what it would look like for example:
-PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_03D1&SUBSYS_14041565&REV_A2 (Might be a couple extra lines containing similar stuff, but the main things you need are the VEN and DEV
Request you to Copy it and provide the ID so that i can provide you the right link for the download.
