Your post mentions two different notebooks.  If you need a replacement battery for an HP Pavilion dv7, you have to be more specific since there are many different dv7-series.

when i bought this battery i plug it in to my mom computer and replace it works fine 

then i had to unistall hp support assistant and reinstall it on the computer since battery was bad and overheating inside computer not the power plug but the actual battery inside the computer that you have to unlatch 

so warrenty is good for 1 year now battery works fine however hard drive is really bad since computer run very slow 

it was a windows 7 but got it upgrade to win 10 now trend work fine but the hp computer shield is in the red windows security issue i have to get windows 10 reinstalled to get green when update windows update come up error code from windows 10 on hp
