need help identifying battery for HP 11-ab015TU

Hi there, I have the dreaded white power supply light (but zero laptop action) on my 11-ab015TU. Researching this suggests that taking the battery out and pressing the power supply for a reset is worth trying. So I got the back off but can't work out which is the battery. In the pic, I thought it was the portrait-shaped rectangle on the left, but that's part of the landscape-shaped block from the top left running across the top. Which seems like a gigantic battery? Can anyone help?

I've never seen a battery like that before, but both 'rectangles' are the battery.

Chapter 5, page 30 has the battery removal and replacement procedure;

The battery part number and description is:

844201-856

Assembly-battery 3C 40WH 3.615A LI NU

I googled the part number and sure enough, it is an 'L' -shaped battery.
