My device is hp 250 G8 Notebook PC (Windows 11). I deleted the inbuilt webcam driver by mistake and now the webcam won't work.
The camera driver is missing from device manager so I can't reinstall driver from there.
I have already tried: a)Troubleshooting
b)Tried"scan for hardware changes"
c)Tried "Add legacy hardware"
d)Driver is not in the'imaging devices'.
e)Tried resetting camera app.
f)Restarted the device 3-4 times.
g)
I tried downloading driver from official hp site but i don't know which driver to download and how
Thank you.

Hello,
Reinstalling Missing Webcam Driver on HP 250 G8 Notebook PC
It sounds like you've tried several troubleshooting methods to fix your webcam driver issue on the HP 250 G8 Notebook. Here is what you can do next:
-
Visit the HP Support Website:
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
- Enter your device details (HP 250 G8 Notebook PC) in the search bar.
- Select Windows 11 as your operating system.
- Look for camera or imaging device drivers available for download. If there are no specific webcam drivers, you can download and install the latest BIOS update and chipset drivers which sometimes include drivers for peripherals.
-
HP Support Assistant:
- Use the HP Support Assistant, which is a utility that can automatically find and install updates and missing drivers for HP devices.
- If not already installed, you can download it from the HP website.
-
Update Windows:
- Go to Windows Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click on "Check for updates." Sometimes Windows may have the necessary drivers.
-
Use Device Manager to Reinstall:
- Open Device Manager.
- Select “Action” at the top and choose “Scan for hardware changes.”
- Sometimes the driver will reinstall itself or appear under a different category if it's detected.
-
Use Third-party Driver Update Tools:
- While it is recommended to stick with HP and Windows-provided tools, if you still cannot resolve the issue, consider using a reputed third-party driver update tool that can scan and find the necessary drivers for your hardware.
-
Contact HP Support:
- If none of the above steps work, you may need to contact HP Support for further assistance. They can provide help specific to your device.
By following these steps, you should be able to get your webcam back up and running.
