Your question is too vague for anyone to answer.

What do you mean?

Is the drive not recognized when you go to install Windows?

If so, that's expected, and this is what you have to do...

I zipped up and attached the Intel storage controller drivers below so Windows can find the drive.

Copy all of the files in both folders in the attached file to a USB flash drive.

Have the flash drive and your Windows installation media plugged into USB ports.

Boot from the W11 installation flash drive.

When you get to the screen where no drives can be found, click on the Load driver option, browse to the flash drive with the storage controller drivers on it.

If you check the box, it will only include the compatible driver.

Click Next and if those are the right drivers Windows should find the drive and install.

hi

thank you for answering my question

i tried load the driver but

(no signed drivers were found.....)

You're very welcome.

Unfortunately, I don't know what the problem could be since those drivers were right from the Intel website.

The only other suggestion I can offer would be to try the HP drivers:

The other option if your notebook came with W11 from HP would be to use the HP cloud recovery tool to create a bootable USB recovery drive that will install Windows, the drivers and the software that originally came with your notebook on the new SSD.

Here is an info link for how to use the utility:

HP Consumer PCs - Using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool in Windows 11 and 10 | HP® Support

You can download the software from the Microsoft Store:

HP Cloud Recovery Tool - Microsoft Apps

Since you would have to use the tool on another PC, after you launch the program, you will need to enter your PC's product number in the tool's search window to create the recovery media.

The product number you posted is for the general model series as you can see from the list of notebook product numbers at the link below.

HP PartSurfer

You need to find the product number for your exact model notebook, and in order to use the cloud recovery tool you also have to add the #XXX characters that are also shown as part of the product number.

Sorry, but I wouldn't be able to help you.

I would have never told you that you could use a drive with a heat sink in your notebook.

There's not enough clearance.

is it safe to remove the heaksink from 990 pro?

i couldn't find a disassembly video

i emailed Samsung they didn't answer properly

I don't know why anyone would tell you that a drive with a heatsink would work.

Maybe in a desktop PC but not in a notebook.

Since you can't return the drive, maybe you can sell it to someone and buy the 990 Pro without the heat sink.

I don't know how heat sinks are attached to SSD's that come from the factory that way.

I installed one on a SSD for my desktop PC but the heat sink came with silicone bands to secure the heatsink to the drive, and I'm sure that yours is held on a different way.

The product info says the heat sink should not be removed.

6) Samsung's warranty will be void if any of the following instructions violated.

- The 990 PRO with Heatsink has a pre-installed heat sink and it should not be removed as it can damage the device.
