Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello every one! I want to upgread my Notebooc HP 255 g7 by ssd nvme samsung 980  PCIe® Gen3x4 NVMe™ M.2 500 gb. In specifications written about possible hard devices and my new samsung ssd is suitable for this. When I ran my notebooc with this drive I received the error "no bootable device". Why this ssd isn't suitable? What the drive do I need? Thank you.

Did you put an operating system on the new NVME SSD?

No I didn't. How can I do this if my notebooc don't want to see my drive? I don't have other noteboocs.

It will show no bootable device if you just turn it on and try to boot up with a blank hard drive. The question is whether the drive is seen by the BIOS....tap esc as you power up to enter a startup menu and go into BIOS setup. You should see the presence of the NVME disk there. If your laptop is licensed for Windows 10 there is a Microsoft site where you can download the files to make a bootable usb thumb drive that will install Windows 10. There might also be a cloud recovery option for your laptop from HP. If none of this makes any sense I am afraid you are going to have to find a computer technician to help you.
