Have no touch capability after a new install, but also notice 2 devices in device manager with question marks. and when i go to the website for this device even letting hp detect my device and trying to download the device drivers it says downloading but nothing is happening. almost as if the server is not responding. can anyone give me an ftp site or something so that i may download the drivers.

Windows update provides the Touchscreen driver.
You can use the HP Support Assistant to find appropriate drivers. You can download and install it. See the link below this line.
https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html
You will need to provide more than just Stream 7 to identify your product. That is way too generic to be useful in determining the hardware characteristics of your HP product.
Look at the bottom and find the ProdID.
Kindly post it in your next reply to your thread.

ok for some reason that hp support assistant didn't download the needed drivers (other devices ??) in device manager. anyway had to do file sharing with my desktop to download the drivers on to the tablet and also using VNC server/viewer to run them. it was a bit of an ordeal, now all drivers are on the device and are working fine. But for the beginner to novice user wanting to refresh their device they could easily end up on a dead end road. For support of legacy devices you NEED TO UPGRADE THE HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT!! It tells me everything about my device but doesn't offer any solutions. Whats the use. You'll have a lineup at the local recycling depot for these devices yet all they need is a format , reinstall. spent 6 hrs on this 40 dollar device. You can close this ticket and mark it resolved.
