Hi my 2570p has been working fine for many years but recently closed down due to no charge in the battery even though it was plugged in.  On inspection I found that the male end of the power supply was loose and so not delivering any power.  I did get a single flashing whire light.  Checked the power supply and it was still delivering 19.5 v so that had not been damaged.

Anyhow I bought a replacement power supply but when I plugged it in I did not get any lights at all to suggest any power was being sent to the laptop.  I have a docking station  that I tried - the power light on the docking station power button  is a constant blue until I connect the laptop then it goes to a weakly flashing blue but again no life in the laptop.

Is there any way I can check if power is getting through eg any place on the motherboard I can check the voltage or anything to look at to see if something has blown or shorted when the power connector sbapped ?

thanks
