The HP user manual indicates that you need to use the F5 function key. The F5 function key on my notebook has no function symbols, it's just a black key with the word F5. Stop. Can I turn on keyboard lighting from windows or bios? My bios is up-to-date, but does not have the ADVANCE functionality as required by the HP user manual.
Is the keyboard of the notebook backlit? model HP Pavilion x360 - 14-cd0008nl.
Thank you.

ok, then I guessed correctly, it is already prepared !!!! yes thank you, you have been fast and exhaustive. Right, a myth. But I do not think I'll ever open the chassis I've been an HP customer for at least 30 years, and I'm sorry to see that a big multinational loses the honor for a cable that costs a few cents. As a poor homeless person.

Hi,
The keyboard on your model does not have backlight and that is why there is no symbol on the F5 key.
It should be possible to install a backlit keyboard as some models in the series come with backlit keyboard. However it would be quite expensive (the kayboard comes as one part with top cover) and not so easy, as you would need to remove everything frome notebook (system board etc...) and place in the new part.

Hope it helps,

All right, thanks for the quick and precise answer. I share your thesis, it is practically impossible, or not convenient, to open the notebook. It would be crazy! But that's what I expected. In my first message I had forgotten to write that the current keyboard, at least for me it seems so, has the bottom half of the keys of transparent color, just like the backlit keyboards. That's why I asked if it was possible to intervene through the software.

Yes, I understand. However it is not software based. The keyboards with backlight have a extra ribbon cable going from the keyboard to the motherboard to power the backlight.
backlight cableSo number 2 is the keyboard cable and number 3 is backlight cable which will be missing in your notebook.
Hope it helps,
David
