Hi @aman09911,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Pavilion Gaming laptop’s NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 isn’t working and shows “Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)” in Device Manager. Let’s go through a few steps to troubleshoot this.

1. Power Reset the Laptop

Shut down the laptop completely.

Unplug the power adapter.

Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to drain residual power.

Reconnect the power adapter and turn the laptop back on.
(This simple step often helps reset hardware devices.)

2. Check Device Manager

Press Windows + X → Device Manager → Display Adapters.

If you see the GTX 1650 with a yellow triangle and Code 43, right-click it → Disable Device, wait a few seconds, then Enable Device.

If that doesn’t help, proceed to the next steps.

3. Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers

Visit the official HP Support website.

Enter your laptop’s model number and download the latest BIOS and Chipset drivers for your Pavilion Gaming model.

Install them and restart your laptop.
(Outdated BIOS/chipset can cause GPU initialization errors.)

4. Clean-Install NVIDIA Drivers

Download Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) from a reputable site.

Boot into Safe Mode (press Shift while selecting Restart → Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Startup Settings → Restart → press 4 for Safe Mode).

Run DDU to completely remove all NVIDIA drivers.

Reboot normally.

Download and install the latest NVIDIA driver for the GTX 1650 from the NVIDIA website.

Restart the laptop again after installation.

5. Turn Off Fast Startup

Go to Control Panel → Power Options → Choose what the power buttons do → Change settings that are currently unavailable.

Uncheck Turn on fast startup (recommended).

Save changes and restart.
(Fast startup sometimes prevents the GPU from initializing properly.)

6. Check for Windows Updates

Go to Settings → Windows Update → Check for updates.

Install all available updates, including optional updates for drivers.

Restart and see if the GTX 1650 is recognized properly.

I hope this helps.
