HP 14s-fq0000 Laptop PC (12N13AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

hello good day, i was trying to update my hp 14s-fq0004sl with a fresh 16 gig ram and an m.2 1tb ssd in addition to the one already present in the laptop because it was starting to be a bit slow and since is my work laptop 70 gig base memory isn't enough i looked up in the crucial websiste before buying and it all was compatible with my pc

but after i finished the m.2 doesn't show anywhere in the system the BIOS is extremely locked and doesn't let you do a whole lot i tried turning off safe boot but still nothing i tried to put the m.2 in my ps5 to check if the drive was fried but it reads it is there maybe a drive or something i have to download to make it work or is it possible that the drive is toasted?

p.s. sorry for any bad grammar but english is not my 1st

Hi:

We have discovered that forum members that own that model series with the 64 GB eMMC drives can install a M.2 SATA SSD and it will work just fine.

A NVMe SSD will not.
