I want to write that the processor you recommended does not fit my motherboard.
I lost the money to pay for the services of a laptop repairman.
maybe it's not enough to just reflash the bios from under the system? maybe I need to use a more strict method of reflashing the bios? or my motherboard not compatible with this processor anyway? i heard you can't go higher than i5, not i7.

Topics are locked after a few months and can't be reopened.
All I can tell you is that one critical piece of information was missing regarding the processor upgrade info you were provided.
No 1st generation quad core processor will work unless your notebook has a discrete video adapter.
The same applies to desktop PC's.
Does your notebook have the onboard Intel graphics adapter, or does it have the discrete AMD graphics adapter?
The best processor that can be installed in a 4520s notebook that only has the onboard Intel graphics would be the i7-640M dual core processor which does support the onboard (UMA) Intel graphics as indicated in chapter 1 of the service manual.
I don't want to merge your reply to the closed topic because no one else will be able to reply to it.

I don't know what adapter I have.
Maybe it is written here?
Can that graphic adapter be replaced? Is it expensive?
When the technician changed the processor, he said that there was no image on the screen.

From your screenshot, it appears your notebook only has the Intel graphics (last section of the report).
But the easiest way to tell is to go to the device manager, click to expand the Display Adapters device manager category, and there you will find the name of the graphics adapter (Intel or AMD).
No image on the screen is exactly what the problem is when you install a 1st generation quad core processor in a notebook that only has the onboard Intel graphics adapter.
The notebook works fine but no display.
That's usually not a problem with a desktop.
You buy a cheap video card and install it. Problem solved.
But in your notebook PC, the only way to change the graphics would be to replace the motherboard with one listed in chapter 3 of the service manual that has the AMD graphics.
You would also have to buy a new Windows license because a new motherboard = a new Windows license to Microsoft.
The most cost-effective thing to do would be to install the i7-640M dual core processor and settle for that with your existing motherboard and Windows license.

I want to ask a question on another topic.
I think I'll install Windows XP 64 on my laptop because it allows you to open many tabs in the browser and not freeze them (it consumes little RAM).
The Supermium browser has been released, and soon they will make hardware acceleration for it. That is, the browser will connect the video card resources to process the YouTube load.
I heard there are 2 problems.
1. I may not be able to find a video driver, and then the screen brightness will be maximum and I will not be able to change it.
2. I know my video card supports DXVA in windows 7, but I don't know if it supports it in windows xp 64.
I see only one driver in the list for xp 64: ATI Video Driver and Control Panel (but I have intel).
What should I do? Should I change my motherboard to AMD?

If you change the motherboard to one that has an AMD graphics, you may be able to try the processor you bought, but you will also need to buy a new heat sink because the one for the Intel graphics is different than the one for the AMD graphics.
I don't know where to find a WXP 64-bit Intel graphics driver.
Even the Intel site doesn't have one that I could find.
They have one for the older GM45 chipset and the newer Sandy Bridge chipset, but not the HM55 chipset.
I don't know the answer to your second question.

That is correct, and more.
Not only will the display brightness be stuck on maximum, but you will also not be able to change the screen resolution or put the notebook in sleep mode.
That's a good idea to try the Intel forum. Maybe someone even has the file saved on their cloud storage.
