hp notebook power bank

I feel like a total idiot, but I ordered the power bank and cannot figure out how to charge it or use it. There does not appear to be instructions anywhere (website or otherwise). I guess it's so simple they felt they didn't need to include instructions. I have tried every stupid hole on the device and can't seem to get it to charge or to get it to power my laptop. Please help a totally confused individual. Thank you!

Hello hopelessly_conf,

In order to help you more efficiently, we need a model number or something for the power bank. And what is the model of the computer you are trying to charge? (Please do not post serial numbers on the HP Support Forum)

Information on how to find a laptop's model/product number is detailed in this HP document.

Regards,

Eddy

Hello hopelessly_conf,

The power bank should have included a cable to attach to one of the very end output ports. (Should be the one beside the USB-C port) like this:

You would then plug the cable into your computer into (2) as shown below:

If the barrel size is different, I'm sorry to say that these are then not compatible as the specifications for the power bank list these computers as the only ones compatible anyway:

Please post back with further inquiries, if any.

Hope this helps,

Eddy

So, the same connection is used to both power the laptop and charge the power bank?

Is that the only way to charge the power bank?

Hello hopelessly_conf,

Sorry about not clarifying that. You would use your laptop's included AC adapter to charge the power bank through the side port.

You can also check the remaining power through the press of the button and the fuel gauge.

Hope this helps,

Eddy
