Hi @Meraj746

Welcome to the HP Support Community! Thanks for posting your query!

We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for explaining the situation. I can sense how puzzling it must feel when Windows shows very little shrinkable space even though you believe there’s plenty available. Before we dive into possible solutions, it’s important we isolate the cause by gathering some details about your setup. This will help us understand why the shrink size is limited.

Could you share a bit more about the following points:

  • Which HP computer model are you working on?
  • What version of Windows is installed (for example, Windows 10 or Windows 11)?
  • How much total capacity does your C: drive have, and how much free space is currently showing?
  • Do you have features like BitLocker encryption or system protection enabled on the drive?
  • Have you recently installed large applications or updates that might be reserving space?
  • Are there other partitions already present on the disk (like recovery or data partitions)?

Once we have this information, we’ll be able to narrow down whether the limitation is due to system files, disk layout, or reserved space. Would you be able to provide these details so we can move forward with the right guidance?

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
