hello i am looking to upgrade my hard drive. right now. i have 8gb. looking to go to 16gb. its been running beyond slow. and i have tons of free space. so im thinking it could be the hard drive.. my processor is a intel core i7 cpu@ 2.40ghz . device id is acededdc-b058-40fc-82c7-38e5cdb6f3bo product id is 00326-100000-00000-aa900 not sure what else you would need to let me know what the best upgrade is or if i should upgrade anything else.. the computer is not that old and should not be running like a 25 yr old laptop.

Are you sure your machine has 8GB for hard drive ? What is it ?  I believe you are looking for more RAM (also called memory). Please use the following way to find out the model/product of your machine

LoL! Noob it's not harddisk it's RAM and if u need speed change your harddisk to ssd it'll be awesome ram helps to run more applications at a time by loading into its memory but speed differs mostly by harddisk and cpu so change harddisk from hdd to ssd even if it's the same change pc but dnt waste money on ram I think 8 gb is more than enough until you run Virtual machines in your pc. DON'T get fooled by people to upgrade ram for speed ram .Get ssd and your speed depends on write speed and read speed of harddisk not ram I'll guarantee you take ssd and Enjoy!
