that worked but now it just says preparing automatic repair & then Diagnosing your pc

Hi,

Shut down the notebook ( if necessary, hold down the power button for 5 -10 seconds until the machine turns off ).  Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to enter the Start-up Menu. Select the f2 diagnostic menu and run tests on the Hard Drive and Memory.

Do any of these hardware tests result in a 24 character error code?
