Hi. I know similar problems have been asked many times, so i apologise in advance. I have this error in device manager and i have tried previous solutions - i ran windows update numerous times, and all the lates chipset drivers were installed by windows. The chipset drivers from my hp suppport webpage for my product was actually an older version and did not install. The intel dynamic framework drivers from my hp drivers support page have been installed.
The other wifi and LAN drivers available are all older versions being offered from the HP support website. And they're working just fine so i don't believe they are the problem here.
The device "instance path" jin device manager is:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1603&SUBSYS_80DD103C&REV_09\3&11583659&0&20
hardware id's:
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1603&SUBSYS_80DD103C&REV_09
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1603&SUBSYS_80DD103C
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1603&CC_118000
PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1603&CC_1180

Hi:
See if this version of the DTPF driver works...
8.1.10608.329 Sep 21, 2017
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp82001-82500/sp82025.exe
Here is a partial copy and paste of the driver setup information file, which shows driver support for the hardware ID you posted...
[Manufacturer]
%INTEL%=INTEL, NTamd64
[INTEL.NTamd64]
%PROCSNB.DeviceDesc% = DptfCpu,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0103
%PROCIVB.DeviceDesc% = DptfCpu,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0153
%PROCHSW.DeviceDesc% = DptfCpu,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0C03
%PROCHSW.DeviceDesc% = DptfCpu,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0A03
%PROCHSW.DeviceDesc% = DptfCpu,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0D03
%PROCBDW.DeviceDesc% = DptfCpu,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1603
%PROCSKL.DeviceDesc% = DptfCpu,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1903
%PROCCHT.DeviceDesc% = DptfCpu,PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_22DC
If that driver doesn't work, the only other driver that installs that device is the chipset driver...you can see if this one works...

Thank you, much appreciated. The first driver you linked to did the trick.
It would be great if this could be added to the official drivers download section of this laptop. I spent many hours trying to troubleshoot this. I did not even consider the possibility that the official HP product support page doesn't have the driver I need, or the windows official updates.
Kind regards, Haseeb

You're very welcome.
Since I do not work for or represent HP, you may want to submit your request to the HP Executive Team at the link below and ask them to include that driver file number on your PC's support page.
