i bought a hp laptop
HP Laptop 15s-fq5295nia (7C8B4EA)
processor 1235u
which supports gen 4x4
which came with a KIOXIA gen4x4 m2 2280 nvme ssd , its showing full speeds in crystal disk 2700 mb/s while when copy pasting giving me lower speeds as 600 mb/s ,
i have checked hwinfo64 lanes are x4 , transfer speeds are current mode pcie gen 3x4 and supported mode pcie gen 4x4 , maximum link speed is 16 gt/s current link speed is 8gt/s
what could be teh issue are lanes being used , is it sequential speeds or need to refit ssd .
or is it a gen3 slot , or teh ssd drive is faulty .
already updated ssd firmware and updated bios to the latest .
solutions pls
edit :
anyways i have updated bios and ssd firmware which should have resolved this issue , which is in crystaldiskmarkinfo showing current mode is pciegen3x4 supported is gen4x4
current mode should be 4x4 to obtain full speeds but bios and firmware update didnt work
