my usb lights up when plugged into my hp laptop however when I try to open or format it, it shows "please insert drive into (:letter)"... I tried changing the letter assigned to it since most of the forums on the internet says it's the first method for a solution but I changed it many times already but still didn't work... I have downloaded many recovery tools as well but they can't detect the drive... i don't know what to do now

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
- What is the make and model of the flash drive?
- What is the exact model for your computer?
- What is the operating system you are using?
- Have you tried the flash drive on a different computer?
Look forward to hearing from you and you have a great day!
Take care.
Cheers!
