plugged in not charging HP why not fix your defective product?

HP Recommended
x360 15-bl012dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

about 2 years old laptop that spends 99% of its life on my desk at work. not moving or being banged around...

mostly playing Minecraft.

99% of the time its plugged in unless I take it home for the weekend so it doesn't get stolen

the plugged in not charging issue happened about 3 times before

I did the reset procedure that was listed in the forums here and it worked until this time

this time it was plugged in and battery was draining for few days finally I noticed because it was at 12%

it was plugged in the whole time

and it drains when I play a video game. or other graphics intense program

once I close the game it will resume charging.

BUT

it does not show that its charging. even after multiple restarts and resets

I ran battery and ac adapter tests that all passed

(battery capacity for some reason says 93% at full charge when I ran tests

when I unplug and plug back the usb-c charging cable I can see the battery animation charging for about 10 seconds and then stop

it used to show plugged in nd charging now just shows plugged in

HP of course ignores this ussue completely and wants me to send  it in for repair while offering a slap in the face 15% discount to repair a defect in their product that should be repaired free of charge since its an obvious defect of manufacture.

and btw I have plenty of experience with computers. been building and fixing them since 1997

this doesn't make sense,

how does it charge without showing that its charging and runs on battery at the same time and drains the battery when I play video games...

HP how long have you been making computers? I shouldn't have problems like this especially with your top of the line products.

this is embarrassing
