i have the hp elitebook 745 and ryzen 5 2500u laptop and i would like to get some type of port extender so that i can move the hdmi the lan and the mouse wires from the right side of the pc to the back out of the way. i have the hp port replicator but that seems to not like the lan connection as it drops the lan not and then and i have to power it down and back up to get the lan back online.

i tried one of those port extenders from ebay that plugs into the usb-c port but it will not let the monitor work that i have connected to the laptop. the usb ports and lan port work but not the hdmi or vga. now it may be the device or maybe that usb-c port on this pc can't run the monitor thru that usb-c port. so maybe someone her can help me figure this out. thanks

this is the side of the pc that has the usb-c port it has a pd the usb and a SS symbol next to the port
